Welcome to Black Girl, Brown Girl… Squirrel! — the podcast for Black, Hispanic, Latina, and Asian women who are Neurodivergent (or wondering if they might be).

We’re your Sista Squirrels 🐿️ Shai and Lex — here to celebrate the chaos, the brilliance, and the hilarity of brains that don’t follow the “default settings.” Around here, tangents are the point.

We talk about life with:

Alexis - or Lex as most call her - is one half of Black Girl, Brown Girl…Squirrel!

A longtime podcast listener turned creator (unexpectedly) , Lex brings humor, curiosity, and candor to every episode. Podcasting is her opportunity to share how she navigates life as a Black, Neurodivergent woman with others on the same journey. It’s also an excuse to giggle with her bestie - she’s mostly excited for that part!

When she’s not recording , Lex is probably tending to her plants named after K-Pop singers, or trying to solve the plot twist in a mystery novel. She also channels her love of order and calm into her occasional side hustle as a personal organizer.

Shai is a storyteller, connector, and an unapologetically neurodivergent overthinker and overachiever with a heart for real talk and belly laughs. As a woman with ADHD (combined type) and PDA, she’s learned that structure and spontaneity can actually be best friends—and that chaos often hides the best conversations.

Through Black Girl, Brown Girl… Squirrel!, Shai creates space for neurodivergent women of color to be fully seen, heard, and celebrated. She brings curiosity, humor, and deep empathy to every episode—because life’s too short to mask, shrink, or apologize for the way our brains beautifully work.

When she’s not behind the mic, you’ll probably listening to KPop, watching Korean dramas, find her people-watching, side-eyeing her to-do list, or turning random thoughts into full-blown passion projects...if she can remember them!
